Default high cpu usage due to "hardware interrupts"

I found a solution, (sort of)
After three days of trying I gave up. I copied all my files to my flash
drive. Then I used this excellent program called MozBackup to back up my
FireFox profile. Next I did a system restore to a time when my computer
was working. Well, after the restore the computer would crash and reboot
on its own. So, I put in my Vista disk and started over. After my
install, I went to gateway's sight and updated all my drivers before
doing the windows update. All problems fixed and my Hardware Interrupts
are N/A in Process Explorer. So the solution is to reinstall Vista,
Update all your drivers then do a windows update.

For the record, if this happens again I'm installing Unbuntu and never
going back to MS. The good thing about reinstalling the OS is that you
back up all your files so if you PC dies on you, it won't be a big deal.

Anyway, I'm just happy to have my laptop fixed [image:

Still though if anyone at MS is reading this, you need to start getting
your s*** together. Hell, I program ASP.Net for a job. I own a Xbox 360
(which broke of course and had to be sent out to be fixed) and a Zune. I
even bought a Zune for my wife and convinced my brother to get a 360.
But lately, MS has been ****ing me off. If you can't keep someone like
me happy, I can't imagine how regular people feel. I've always supported
MS, but they have been screwing up recently. Learn from google,
functionality first. Worry less about pretty windows and icons and just
make sure you software works!!!

OMFG! I take it back. It is not MS's fault. I just installed Daemon
tools and my problems came back. It has something to do with the SPDT
that it tries to install. Wow, that's a joke that it can destroy a PC
like that. Oh well. At least now I know.

I was having the same problem AFTER a fresh install, narrowed it down to
Marvell 61xx RAID driver (which was the latest), just disabled the
device and back to normal, but really irritating!
