Default RC 5600 using DVD LG 4167B missing CD/DVD drive device

Hi,

Issue on install RC1 x64:

- keyboard change will be shown
- it comes with "A required CD/DVD drive device is missing" the an
option to browse for folder .... while reading the installation DVD
fails and then requires a specific device driver...

Issue after install of Beta2 x64:

- could install = OK
- afterwords could not read (using windows explorer) any DVD's using
LG 4167B

Using Windows XP SP2 & XP64 Sp1 there is no such problem reading any
DVD's!

Installation device : DC/DVD/DVD-RAM LG 4167B (latest Firmware DL13)

Default RC 5600 using DVD LG 4167B missing CD/DVD drive device

Hi,

I just used a different DVD drive with same DVD-R and it worked!

Plugin back the LG 4167B whre TC1 was installed, then Vista was still
not able to deal with this LG brand (same isse as Beta2)!

Hopefully MS will deal with this, until now I did not find any problem
reporting on Vista even not the web.

Cheers

BTW:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/320553/

did not help while

a) there is no upper and lower filters

b) did uninstall reinstall as kb320553 (get finally cdrom.sys
6.0.5600)

finally get again EventId 7 with bad blocks (same media works fine on
XP32 SP2, XP64 = no errors)
