Andy C There are other places in the world to buy Windows XP besides your local store. Amazon UK might have some and I'm sure there are plenty of online stores that deliver to the UK. I use NewEgg.com but you'd probably be better off using someone based in your country because of shipping charges. And in answer to your last but one sentence, certainly I could run a Windows program on my MacBook but I'd need to either do a dual-boot (Boot Camp) or virtual computing (Parallels or VMware Fusion). And in all cases, I'd need a copy of the guest operating system (XP). Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!" MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User |

Hi Malke, thanks for advice. Between my initial posting and your reply had
done a lot of "google searching" and came to the same conclusion as you sugested. I did indeed find retailers in UK selling windows XP. Thanks for your responce. Andy |

It may be too late to post to this thread but I just found it. I am running Art Artmasterpro on my Vista x64. You need to install it as an Administrator and also check the box to have it run as XP compatable. It is a bit wonky sometimes but it does work.... hope this reaches you and helps. The thing to do once you get it installed and working is to back up with Norton Ghost, then you never have to install it again. I am also running Art Creata which is their what you see is what you get version and it didn't even blink when it was installed on Vista.... Good luck. -- GypsyEcho |
