TRY THIS
msconfig - services - hide all microsoft services - uncheck these if
they exist: xaudio, vongo, stllsvr,roxmediad89, installdriver table
manager, cyberlink background, cyberlink task,
Then click on boot tab -advanced options - number of processors 2 -
maximum memory.
If still doesnt work then may be something is wrong with your PREFETCH
folder in x:\Windows\Prefetch
I use System mechanic 8.xxx and it has an option of defragging such
files that windows loads on startup... Doing that once in a while keeps
boot time in check... try that one.
