You might want to test your memory, www.memtest.org , when Acronis gave me
problems it was due to iffy memory

Running a system repair did nothing, and when I run SFC now it says no
problems found.

The reason I ask is Acronis True Image Home 2009 seems to crash whenever I
try to get it to restore a backup it created. Don't know why it is
crashing, but even another Vista install running the software locks up
when trying to restore backups made with this system.
