Explorer - Selecting Files using CTRL key
Continue to hold the ctrl key until all files are selected.

When inside explorer, I can select continuous files by selecting the first
file and pressing the Shift key plus last file. However when I try to
select files using CTRL key plus files that are not next to each other,
the highlighting comes off and I am unable to select files properly.
Is this a known bug with Vista?
