I want to say that the processer is actually ... a horse-power boom. But the
graphics card is what is making the low rating ... and if you are a gamer.
You shouldn't consider less that GeForce 8400M GS or ATI Express 3200.

typical Video usage of system Ram on a laptop might produce a
reading of less than 3Ghz. Or, it might be that part of the added memory
is not working or not recognized. If the memory is not working properly,
you might be getting a hitin responsiveness. Have you run any of the
memory testers?
Do you have Norton installed?
When were the video drivers last updated. I have a two year old HP laptop
(Vista Ultimate, 32bit) using an Nvidia chipset that started out painfully
slow when it came to games. Recent video driver and windows updates
actually made a big improvement in video response times.
