Default Installation terminates abnormally

I tried to install Vista RC1 on a machine that previously had Vista Beta2
installed on it. I downloaded the iso file and burned it to DVD with two
different programs, Roxio and Nero. With both DVDs the installation
terminated with the following error:

The installation was canceled

Windows cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for
installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code
0x800706F8

This is not an isolated case. If you search the web your will find quite a
few people with this same problem. Is anyone else reading this newsgroup
having this problem? If Microsoft is monitoring this newsgroup, do you have a
solution? This is causing a lot of negative comments/feedback about RC1.
