I will keep looking for a solution. Even though I don't get full
functionality it is still a good printer. I would hope that HP will
eventually get their laptops to work with their printers. Time will probably
solve this issue. Thanks for all of the assistance.

Fortunately for me, but not for you, my fax is a freestanding unit so I
don't have to worry about more than the incoming spam! I wish I could
help on that but it's not my area of knowledge or experience.

Have you checked the HP website for support on the problem? It may be
something quite simple or it may be not possible with your version of
VISTA -- I just don't know.

Keep up the pressure on HP since their support services are usually
good. But part of the problem I think is in VISTA and part in the
version of VISTA that you have, if I remember correctly that you have a
Home version of VISTA.
