Can't print from Vista laptop
I can't print to HP 7280 printer from HP laptop wireless. Laptop is running
Vista Home Premium, 2.0 GHz, 2 MB ram, 240 GB HD. I have no problem printing from another laptop wireless, HP running XP Pro, 1.8 GHz, 1 MB ram, 60 GB HD. All are on home wireless network with Linksys Wireless-G router. Right now, I have to print everything from my XP laptop. Does anyone know of a solution for Vista to allow wireless print capability? |

If not, you need to do this. Excellent, thorough, yet easy to understand article about File/Printer Sharing in Vista. Includes details about sharing printers as well as files and folders: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...27037.aspxThis link will take you through Vista networking very well: 2. Did you go to HP's website, download the Vista drivers for your printer, and then install them on the laptop? If not, you need to do this. The fact that your laptop is connecting wirelessly to your Local Area Network (LAN) is irrelevant; it is is part of the same LAN and will be able to share files/printers just like any other computer on the LAN - *if* file/printer sharing is properly setup and drivers for any shared devices on the network (like printers) are installed.
