Are you referring to the Reliance Mobile ZTE MG880? Are you sure the
installation CD has Vista drivers on it?
Have you tried right-clicking the installer file on the CD and choosing "run
as administrator"?
I'd suggest checking either the vendor or manufacturer tech support for
updated drivers or solutions to your installation problem.

Are the drivers on the CD VISTA drivers?

Have you been to the modem manufacturer's web site to see if they have updated
Vista drivers?

Also, take care to note if the modem's USB cable should be unplugged before you
install the drivers and plugged in only after the driver install or when
prompted to plug in the USB cable during the driver install.

i am referring to reliance usb data card zte mg880
As per the manufacturers the drivers are for vista
i have already tried installing the drivers as "run as administrator"
but the problem repeats
i have already reported the prob. to reliance tech centre ( so called help
centre) and am waiting for a response from them for the past 3 days.
Do u have any other solution?

Hey guys... cool down... do one thing.. just go the device manager after
installation is complete ( I know it will show error)..look under the
phone and modem options...there will be three uninstalled Data
interface.. just right click on them and select update drivers.. then
browse and go to the drivers folder in the installation CD..from there
choose vista folder and then select the options xp96 or something...not
the amd one... then give a go ahead.. you installation will complete and
you will be able to access net...

I don't know why the heck a company like reliance cannot provide its
customers with the correct drivers...

Thats all !

A real "smartguy" would have provided a lot more info about the
problem. A LOT more.
