a Unknown Serial Port
I have a Fujitsu-Siemens Esprimo P5916. I have upgraded it a Windows Vista
Ultimate. There is an unknown serial port. Has anybody a same kind proble?. I have tried to find out a solution on my problems. I did not find out a solution from fujitsu-siemens. My computer works right on a Windows XP. And there is no problem with Windows XP. I have tried to update a LAN driver and computers chipset drivers. But those did not help on my problem. Does anybody have a solution on my problen, please answer to me. |

When you say you tried to update drivers, did you use new Vista drivers from Fujitsu's website? If not, that's what you need to do. If there are no Vista drivers for your motherboard (and that's why you're having the serial port issue - wrong drivers) then contact Fujitsu to see if they are going to provide any in the future. If they say no, put XP back on the machine. Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!" MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User |
