Default Printing Problems - HP F2180 All-in-one

I have just upgraded my Dell XPS M1710 from XP to Vista Home Premium and
during the process encountered several problems with compatablily, which ive
managed to sort out. However i'm stumped with this one...

My printer software installs, but even during the instilation process, there
seems to be a connection error between the printer and my computer. It worked
fine before i upgraded and i have installed it on a friends computer who's
computer came preprogrammed with Vista and it works fine on her computer. I
get the icon on my taskbar and it says printing on the spooling cue, but
nothing is printing.

Can anyone help?

First thing to try is a total uninstall and reinstall..... same as for XP as
at:
http://www.coribright.com/windows/Article_One.htm

Drivers for the HP are at:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s... 77562&lang=en

Don't connect the printer until the software tells you to do so.
