Default Error Message in Device Manager RE Microsoft 6To4 Adapter

Hi,

I have a new Acer Aspire AST 180-EA352B Computer which is running
Windows Vista Home Basic (x86- 32 bit).
I am showing the device 6To4 Network with a problem flag and a message as
follows:

"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers
required for this device. (Code 31)"
"Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and
to see if there is a solution available"

I used the 'check for solutions' button in the device properties dialog box
but Microsoft is reporting that it does
not have a solution for this.

What function is this adapter supposed to serve on my system? Is it a
critical error or one that I can ignore?

P.S. I tried updating the driver file online but Microsoft reports that the
driver file is already up to date.
The driver file name is being reported as "tunnel.sys" in the
Windows\System32\Drivers folder on my Hard Disk which had the Operating
System Prepacked on the hard disk when the vendor set it up.

If this is not a critical error, and I do not need this adapter for my dial
up internet using Internet Explorer 7 how do I eliminate the pesky error
message.

If anybody has encountered this error and/or knows what's what I would
certainly be grateful for any information you might be able to provide.

Thanks a bunch,
EdAllen
