Default photo cartridge

I'm trying to put in a photo cartridge...don't you put it in the place of the
black and white one and leave in the regular color?? I did this and it says
ERROR for my cartridges???? What am I doing wrong??

Default photo cartridge

Well I got online help and they told me that my printer couldn't use a photo
cartridge???? I find it stupid they sell the "right" cartridge for my printer
but they do not work together...OH well...thanks anyways

What model printer? What model cartridge?
