Default MAC Address (Vista)

Hi,

Ive got a NETGEAR WG111T with Beta Vista drivers (and another Network card
Atheros), Ive tried changing my MAC Address about 100 times and it wont have
it all. I've tried quite a few programs on the net too, it seems vista just
doesnt want to change the MAC Address.

Ive even tried changing the registery key and that doesnt seem to work
anymore? What have you guys done with it in vista?

I work for a security company that checks and test software and ive got to
be able to change my MAC Address.

Windows Vista 64Bit.

Thanks.

The MAC address is unique to each network card. You can't change it.

Im very sure you can, ive done it on Windows XP about 10 times. And ive
recently change the MAC on a Windows XP Pro machine just fine, it seems that
vista just isnt having it though.

Any ideas??

Most NICs do let you change the MAC via software.

You can get more with a kind word and a 2x4 than just a kind word.
