Default connecting winxp pro s2 to vista home via remote desktop

..

Many thankshi,
ive read through lots of posts about this but none of the pst have helped.

I have used my xp pro remote desktop to connect to many xp machines in the
past successfully.

Now i am trying to connect to vita home, ive got file sharing and everything
else turned on in network sharing in control pannel, i have client 6
installed on xp as another post said do. remote desktop is allowed under my
computer. I also have a password on my user account. However everytime i try
to connect to the vista i put in the name, then it asks me for the username
and password what i put in, it then starts to connect but then the program
goes back to the remote desktop screen to select what computer to connect to.

Anyone has any ideas?

p.s i also want to share my files to which i have everything selected to
allow everyone to view these files but when i try to connect the files are
seen but still cant be accessed using xp pro
