Hello:
This morning, I logged onto my computer to download the new Zune updates for my player and my Zune. While installing, my computer rebooted and now Vista does not seem to use my wired or wireless network cards. The two-computer icon in the tray is still present, but it will not detect a connection when I plug my network cord into it. As for the wireless card, the window that comes up to show you available networks is fine, but when I try to connect to one, it hangs and does nothing. The Device Manager displays the two cards to have up-to-date drivers and are operating, but when I right-click on the network tray icon and select Diagnose and Repair, it says there is a problem with the wired card. I am sure it is a Vista problem because I can boot in Ubuntu (dual-boot; that's how I am posting this) and both cards work fine. Computer: Vista 32-bit / Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Asus G1s 2.2ghz Core 2 Duo Centrino GeForce 8600GTm 256mb If anyone can shed some light on a solution, I'd be very thankful. |

Hope that helped. |
