After a frustrating couple of weeks trying to get my Vista laptop to access
the files on my XP Professional desktop, I added the user name "Network" to the users names listed in the Security tab of the XP machine and it appears to have resolved the access problems I was having. Prior to that, the user names listed we Administrators Creator Owner Power users System Users With the the exception of Users, who had Read access, all the others had Full Control. Did my adding Network to the list create a Security exposure? |
