Can't Print multiple copies
No, I did reply to her here as I just did with you and got that back too. I
will try "reply to group" with this one to see if it goes through. "huwyngr" wrote in message .. . If you literally emailed that might account for it. But a post here within the newsgroup should not bounce as you found for me. I expect she will see your message. I noticed I think on the HP website a reference to collating but I think it was a fix for it not working into sets of 1 2 3. |

Can't Print multiple copies
No, I went to www.canon.com and selected the right driver for my
multifunction printer (scanner too) and they directed me through the deinstallation and the download and installation of the new driver. The first time I did it I didn't disconnect the USB and power cables to the printer, so everything that I tried, while thinking that I had a new driver, to solve the problem was with the original driver. The new driver and selecting Collate in the print dialog box solved the problem. "huwyngr" wrote in message .. . Did you just plug the printer into a VISTA machine and let VISTA install drivers? Or did you get the VISTA full softwa North America/Western Europe Full Software Solution 4.0 26 Jul 2007 278.1 56K: 8h 512K: 1h If not download that from the HP webpage for your printer: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...Index.jsp?lang =en&cc=us&prodNameId=446154&prodTypeId=18972&prodS eriesId=446153&swLang =8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=2093 If tht URL does not work for you, copy/paste it into your browser or go to www.hp.com / Software and downloads / laserjet 2600n and then VISTA. While you are there I would download the firmware fix and anything else that relates to your printer and VISTA. The important thing will be to unplug the USB cable from the printer to the PC (if that is what you are using and not the network option) uninstall the printer and install the new HP software without connecting the printer until either the installation software tells you to or you reach Finish. Then when you connect the printer, VISTA should install it with the HP software instead of what is in with VISTA. But bring us uptodate first including how your printer is connected to the VISTA machine. |

Can't Print multiple copies
Did you see my replies above where I explained that I had a similar problem
with my canon printer and by updating the printer driver to be compatible with Vista Home Premium and checking the COLLATE box in the print dialog box after selecting my desire for multiple copies, I was able to print multiples from the MS Works word processer. "DeAnn in No. California" wrote in message ... Thanks! It's an HP Laserjet 2600n. "huwyngr" wrote: See the other replies. For example my printers are HP Laserjet 2200d and HP Photosmart 8250 |

Can't Print multiple copies
You've lost me -- this thread is about a problem with an HP Printer and
now you say you have a Canon MFP. I can't help you with Canon and I'd rather not in this HP thread so I suggest you post a new message rather than joining an existing thread about a different printer. However do try disconnecting your printer from the PC, uninstalling all the Canon software and deleting the icon for it in the Printers and in the Scanners folder if there and rebooting the PC. Then install the Canon software and do not connect the printer until it tells you to or you reach Finish. That might do it although depending on your version of VISTA the scanner may give problems. |

Whether something bounced or not it is posted here.
But please go off and restart your question in a new thread/discussion since this one is about an HP printer and not a Canon MFP. |

Can't Print multiple copies
You have missed my whole point. I have solved my problem. I am just trying
to tell others how I did it even though the printers are different. It sometimes helps in solving problems if the blinders are taken off and realize that there may be more than one factor. Again, I was just trying to help by offering the solution that I found. If she hasn't done it already, DeAnn should go to www.HP.com and download a new driver for her printer that is compatible with VISTA. "huwyngr" wrote in message .. .
