Default Access 2003 and Vista networking

I have an application that is written in Access, using the Accesss 2003
runtime. Working with any version of XP over a peer to peer LAN, no problems.

Working with Vista Business, it exhibits some odd behavioiurs. The
application is installed on both machines, and the 'terminal' PC has a path
to the mdb on the 'main' PC.

If the Main PC accesses the application 1st, and then the Terminal accesses
it, both can work. If the Main PC hasn't accessed it, then the Terminal
can't.

What is so different about Vista that it doesn't behave like XP?
