Hi, I just installed vista on my computer but when i try to connect to the
internet either by wireless or by and ethernet cable it comes back saying it can't connect. (I did the guided set up and this is what it told me) I know the internet work is running, the other computers in my house have no problems. I am a new Windows user and I don't know all the little tricks, so I am probably overlooking something really simple. Any help would be appreciated. |

Start by running the Network and Sharing Center wizard. http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2006/12/windows-xp-and-vista-on-lan-together.html#VistaServer http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2006/1...ml#VistaServer Then let's look at a log from "ipconfig /all". Instructions for extracting the log are in the article: http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/reading-ipconfig-and-diagnosing.html http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/0...iagnosing.html -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP 2005-2007 [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience.
