Is there a command where to save email addresses when sending out messages
and or receiving emails from friends?

Right-click on the message header and select "Add Sender to Contacts".

Also , click on Tools, then Options, then Send. If there's no check
mark in the box before Automatically put people I reply to in my
Contacts list, click on this box and then Apply. Click on OK.

However, this option doesn't check if the people you reply to are
your friends.
