Hi,
I have a MPEG video[file extension MPG]. Windows identifies it as an MPEG. On my XP HOME WMP 11 says it can not play the file. I also tried Moviemaker and it could not import it. So, I tried it on my VISTA PREMIUM and it plays and Moviemaker can import it. I understand that these are two different OS. Why doesn't WMP on XP automaically download the codec or whatever is needed? [I have Nero installed on XP and it has not trouble playing it. Fred |
