Hello!
On 14th November 2007 I installed Windows Vista Ultimate updates on my computer when I shut it down. In the next day, when I powered it on, I was without internet and network connectivity. I turned off the modem, performed Windows Vista connectivity repairs, confirmed the internet configuration options but I still continue without network connectivity. Other computers connected to the same router are having access to the internet as usual. What can I do to repair the internet connectivity of the computer with the Windows Vista Ultimate when everything appears to be fine? Thank you very much for all the attention given. Kind regards, Rui Nunes |

We had another post which had the similar case. I believe it is KB933566 for
IE v7. After installed this update, you may be able to access FTP, download and ping, but you may not be able to access the Internet or may have email issue. To uninstall it, open Control PanelPrograms and Features. Select View installed Updates. Please post back with the result. -- Bob Lin, MS-MVP, MCSE & CNE Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Troubleshooting on http://www.ChicagoTech.net How to Setup Windows, Network, VPN & Remote Access on http://www.HowToNetworking.com "Urizen" wrote in message ... Hi Robert,
I have the Security Update for Microsoft Windows KB933566 installed since 15th June 2007 so it should not be the source of the problem. The last two installed updates we Update for Microsoft Windows (KB905866 and KB941649). Do you consider that I should uninstall KB933566 anyway or do you have some more information with respect to KB905866 and KB941649? Thanks a lot for your support. Kind regards, Rui Nunes "Robert L. KB905866 and KB941649 are latest update and we don't have many information
about them. However, if you do believe this issue causes after the update, you may want to remove them one by one. Please post back with the result. -- Bob Lin, MS-MVP, MCSE & CNE Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Troubleshooting on http://www.ChicagoTech.net How to Setup Windows, Network, VPN & Remote Access on http://www.HowToNetworking.com "Urizen" wrote in message ... Hi Robert,
I already uninstalled the last two installed Microsoft Updates: KB905866 and KB941649. However I still continue without being able to connect to the internet and to the local network. The previous installed update was KB932596 on 20th October although the lost of internet connection only occurred after the former two referred updates have been installed. So that update isn't for sure the cause of the issue. What else should I do? Thank you very much for all the attention and support given. Kind regards, Rui Nunes "Robert L.
