I'm using MS Vista Ultimate and Broadband Connection (ADSL).
I start my PC and connect to Internet with out any problems, but sometimes connection fails (the globe in system tray disappears) - it's not so important. When I try to reconnect it says, that user name or password incorrect! I go to ToolsInternet OptionsConnectionsSettings button and see something strange: my password became longer (16 instead of 8 characters)! I'm entering correct passwordpress OKpress Settings button again (to ensure) and see the same 16-characted password!!! [ofcourse it don't want to connect] What's wrong? It doesn't want to listen me! |

The number of asterisks has nothing to do with the true number of characters in your password. This is a security feature since XP. Contact your ISP to change your password or to discuss what is happening. Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!" MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User |
