I'm trying to use Vista Backup to backup files to a HP Media Vault(Network
Storage) It always asks for a password, there isn't one setup on the MediaVaul, reguardless of weather I set one up or not I get the following response when I appempt to do the backup -- " The network share could not be accessed for the following reasons: No Mapping between acount names and security ID's was done. (0x80070534) Please ensure the network location is valid. Help would be appriciated. Ches Ches |

This may be LM authentication issue. These link may help.

Tried it, same results. I should also mention that I have mapped network
drives and can see/access them through explorer. Anyway I still get the results as originally stated. Thanks though, I appriciate the assistance. -- Ches "Robert L.
