DVD/CD Drive not even showing up!
Thanks Peter: will try, but first, just wondering if a registry program such as registry mechanic or regcure would fix the problem, I see they have advertised fixes for code 10 errors. I don't want to spend the money on one if it won't work.  -- barriesmom Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com

DO NOT (do not) touch any registry cleaning tool or any registry fixes being advertised. They are all snake oil remedies. The MS KB I sent you has to be done as per instructions manually. AGAIN. Do NOT touch any registry cleaning or repairing tool.
