Default Improvement to printer management.

This is the only way I can find of even potentially contacting Microsoft for
free (Not using a phone incident to report a bug).

Situation:-
One print server called Server 1 with a printer attached.
One copy of vista.
Add the Printer as http://server1:631/printers/usb-printer
all is well...

Server1 is removed from the network and replaced with Server2

So I try to change the port of the printer to:
http://server2:631/printers/usb-printer, I'm told this is not allowed.
So I try to remove the printer and then remove the port and start again
completely.

Unfortunately When clicking delete printer (I am running with admin
permissions at the time) I am advised "Printer Cannot be removed. Make sure
you have typed the name correctly and that the printer is connected to the
network"

What is that about? You need to have a printer physically present to remove
it? I might well want to remove it as it is not present anymore!

Luckily as the new print server was similar I managed to fool vister into
looking at server2 by adding an entry to windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
like the following:-
[IP Address of Server2] [Name of Server1]

Can checking a printer is present be removed from the delete printer
functionality?

Cheers,

- Anthony
