I'm not sure if this is an microsoft office problem or a vista problem.
On some files, not unusually large, it takes several seconds to save the file. (15-20 seconds or longer is not un-common) I turned file-syncing off, thinking this was the problem, but no. Windows 2000 is the server, Vista 32 bit is the workstation, Office 2007 is the application |

You may want to disable the automatic adjustment for the TCP window size.
