I am running Windows vista Home Basic
A wireless network and Internet connection sharing enabled for all systems on my network. The printer I am trying to share is on my laptop. Windows Firewall configured correctly. I am trying to share my printer to all the computers on my network. I have enabled the printer and file sharing option and have checked the firewall as well. When I go to try an add the printer on the other computers I get an error similar to 'Specified print monitor is unknown'. I am unsure what is going on here. I do have a printer, HP 1402 PSC hooked up to a computer on the network, would this be causing the problem. |

Try to setup the printer using local port first and then re-capture it. This
link may help, Please post back with the result. Between ChicargoTec.net and HowToNetworking.com I was able to resolve this
issue by installing as a local printer first and then attempting to shate it over the network. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Robert L.
