I'm seeing thousands and thousands of packets over the course of a minute or two whenever I try to browse a file share. Most of the packets are Trans2 Request or Read AndX Request packets. Based on the changing locations each time, it looks like Windows Explorer is spidering the entire network share. This would make sense if Vista 64bit could INDEX, but apparently File Sharing Indexing DOES NOT WORK on 64bit Vista OSs, or so I've read. Is there any way to resolve this? Or else prevent Vista from attempting to spider (and not cache/index) my very large network shares?!?!? Thanks! -- IPvFletch |
