Yes. I did go to the site and did the download. I am beginning to think I
might have something on my computer. Not on this lap top, but on my desk
top. I stopped using it. Could that be?

Did you think of going to Dell's driver download section and getting the
drivers for your printer and re-installing them?

The computer that I am using is a Windows Vista, pack 2. The computer is
a Hewlett Packard, HP Pavilion Slimline. The front of the computer says
NVIDIA and AMD 64. I'm not sure of the driver.

The printer is a Dell 948 all-in-one printer. And, yes, I did talk to
Dell and they informed me that my warranty just expired and that I would
need to pay them $275 in order to diagnose the problem. I did try to look
on the FAQs but could not find anything that could help, as far as I
could tell, whatever that's worth. I did also find a download on the site
but even after the download, the printer didn't work. The printer is two
years old.

Hopefully that's enough information???

Why do I need to reinstall my printer every time I turn my computer
on?

Why do you not include any vital information at all with your query?

Operating System (specifically - version, service pack level,
architecture?)
Make/Model of the printer in question?
Version of the drivers you install(ed)?
What the manufacturer of the printer says when you ask them?
If you have even visited the printer manufacturer's web page for advice,
to look through their FAQs and/or download the latest software and/or
drivers?
