Default Blurry applications

I am having trouble with some applications (ie Msn Messenger 2008, Windows
Mail, Notepad, ...), they appear blurry and fuzzy to me. IE7, and some other
apps are fine.
It is just a small selection of programs that aren't clear.

I am currently using a notebook with:
-Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit
- 2.4 ghz intel core duo cpu T7700
- 3054 mb of ram
- NVidea Geforce 8600M GT
- 17 inch widescreen 1920x1200 as default resolution (it is set on the
default
resolution)

Does anyone have a solution for the 8 or 9 programs from MS that I am
frequently using? Because it is a real pain in the but.

Is 1920x1200 the native resolution of the 17" monitor?
Are you using VGA or DVI interface?
Many applications allow you to change the text size. For example the View
option in Windows Mail has multiple text sizes available.
