I just bought a Compaq Presario with Vista preinstalled. I bought a USB
wireless network adapter. Installation went fine and I can connect to the network and Internet, except after the computer goes to sleep. When I wake the PC up, it cannot connect to the wireless router unless I physically disconnect and reconnect the adapter. After talking to the adapter OEM and troubleshooting, we determined that the adapter is OK. Compaq says that I have to wait until Jan. '08 to get the first service pack that MAY fix this problem. Not the answer I wanted hear! I don't want to keep having the unglug the adapter. Is there some fix to this problem? |

Having the same type of problem. The check box for file and print sharing
gets unchecked each time I reboot either computer on my network. Rechecking the box "file and print sharing" solves the problem. But, what a pain! Fred "Ernie" wrote in message ...
