I changed my password ina bit of rage to my Tosibi Labtop when my husband and
I got into a fight. I dont remeber what it was. I didnt create a password reset CD nor do I have another adminstrative account to log on to. Help please! My thesis is save in there. |

Here are links to a couple of different password recovery programs. The
first link is a free program that shows how to manually create a password recovery CD. http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ This second link is for a commercial product that automates the process of creating the recovery CD. This procedure does not work in Vista the way it worked in XP. The only time the built-in administrator account will appear in safe mode on Vista is if there are no other administrator accounts configured on the system or if you have specifically enabled the built-in admin account, which has to be done by an administrator. -- Ronnie Vernon Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User "f/fgeorge" wrote in message ... My thesis is save in there. go to safe mode just hit the f8 key repeatedly as soon as you turn on your computer. go to safe mode and choose the administrator account, from that you can recreate your password again. |
