Default Installed DVD-rom & my CD-rom disappeared

I bought a computer that came preinstalled with a cd driver but has the extra
port. I purchased a DVD Driver and installed it, and it works just great.
The only problem is the DVD Rom took the letter assigned to my cd driver and
i can no longer access my cd drive. All I did was plugged the new Driver in,
the wires were preinstalled. Any suggestions how to get my CD driver back up?

Ensure that the units are NOT jumpered the same. If they are on the same
cable, one should be set to master and the other to slave..

My CD-Rom disappeared too and I don't know so much about computers so
I've got this little program from 'CD-ROM and DVD-RW disappeared from
Windows' (http://cdromdisappeared.com)
With one click it made my CD-Rom re-appear.
