Thanks, Cal, I'll try that...soon when I get up the nerve and energy to do
so. Or maybe I'll just tell those people that send .email files to stop sending .email files. My nephew was able to resend some .email videos after putting them in .wmv format.... This seems very labor intensive, but after much experimentation it is the only way I could get Windows mail to read and display .email files. I do not know how to change only the file extension for multiple files. Again, I am sorry for giving you bad information. I Bleed Blue and Gold GO BEARS! "JNeff" wrote in message ... I think you are confused here -- .email and .eml are formats for sending text
based e-mail messages. Video files NEVER have an extension of .email or .eml. E-mails can have video files as ATTACHMENTS (extensions such as .avi, .wmv, ..mov, .mpg, etc.). But, an e-mail itself is NEVER a video file and cannot open in any video player. I Bleed Blue and Gold GO BEARS! "JNeff" wrote in message ... No doubt I am confused! I received an e-mail with the following attachment :
"FW_beergoggles.email (1.59 MB)" I have received other e-mails with attachments having the ".email" file extension on it---and cannot open. I have received attachments with ".eml" file extensions that I have been able to open with Windows Media Player, I swear! . All of these are VIDEO files. My nephew was able to send beergoggles as a .wmv file that I could open. Just don't understand how I'm getting e-mails with video attachments tagged as ".email!" Please, Cal, if you're tired of this thread, you can choose to not respond. I really appreciate your help. Upon re-reading my earlier notes to you, I see that I did not make it clear that I was trying to open VIDEO files. Cheers.... (whose name and type you didn`t mention !!) Download and run Gspot.exe, from here... http://www.headbands.com/gspot/download.html Run it and feed it one of your videos. It will tell you which codec you need to D/load, to enable you to play them. -- bw.. |
