Are you sure you have Windows 8/8.1 Ken?
Yes, absolutely sure--8.1. On *both* machines here.
Did you do an in place upgrade from Win 7? Maybe the previous directory
structure was maintained across the upgrade.
In my case I did a clean install on an SSD.
