Is my processor not enought powerfull?
Hi
I have a processor intel p4 3,00 Ghz modell intel(r) 945 Express and I got an 2,2 as score in windows vista home basic. Can this be true? i have seen other computer with slower processors with the same Vista version and they get a higher score. And because of that I can't run Aero. What is wrogn with my processor?

It is the 945 chip set holding down you score. And if you do not have 128MB
of shared memory available via your BIOS it will not run AERO. I also had to have 1GB of main memory for my Intel 945 MOBO to be able to run AERO. "Americo" wrote in message ... It sounds like the score may be based on the video card score. Your CPU
should be quite a bit higher, but the WEI is the lowest score in the table. Also, Vista Home Basic doesn't include Aero. I have a P4 Hyperthread 3.0ghz with 2GB Ram and a 945G video. It runs fine
but not for any games. I think I got a 3.2. It does not average all the scores together though. It takes the lowest score of any of the area's. Depending on how much Ram you have and its speed you may need to add more, since Intel graphics uses the ram it might improve the score.
