Hi,
I'm finding the Vista is routinely corrupting its URL's found in its Favorites folder. These URL's are for Virtual Server 2005 and therefore when they are selected with IE, they are continuously updated (presumably by IIS or VS). The Favorites are redirected to an HDD on the Windows 2003 server. The damaged URL file will have the correct byte size, but all the data within will be spaced out. Anyone have a solution to this problem? --- Thanks, Bob |

Thanks a lot!
It sort of amazes me that the "file type" tab of the Folder Options has been removed for nothing in turn, but well.. regards, Amaury "Bob" wrote in message ... Hello Bob,
Thank you for your post. This is George and I will be assisting you in this post. Sorry, I am still a bit unclear about what the issue is. To better address this issue, could you help collecting the following information? Information Needed: ================== 1. Can other shortcut in your Favorites folder work? 2. Can the problematic Favorites short still lead to the "Virtual Server Administration Website", even after the issue occurs? If not, what is the exact error message? 3. Can you open the "Virtual Server Administration Website" by clicking "Start"- "All Programs"- "Microsoft Virtual Server"- "Virtual Server Administration Website"? 4. Please create a new Favorites shortcut for the same "Virtual Server Administration Website", and wait for a while. Does the issue always re-occur? 5. I am a bit confused with the symptoms of "The damaged URL file will have the correct byte size, but all the data within will be spaced out". Could you please help collect several screen shots (before and after the issue occurs) to demonstrate the exact symptoms? If anything is unclear, please feel free to let me know. We look forward to your reply. Thanks! Hi George,
The problem of corrupt url's (that are redirected with my Favorites to the domain controller), seems to have settled down with Vista SP1 RC. I'll reopen this incident if the problem returns. Thanks! -- Thanks, Bob |

Some of my URL's seem to be corrupted by Google. If you click on them you
are re-directed to Google. I have tried deleting and re-installing Google but even after deleting it the same thing happens. I also at times get this message if I do a search or my favourites on Google. Error Not Found The requested URL // was not found on this server." I have Windows XP. Has anyone any idea how to solve the problems. Thanks Jeff url:http://www.ureader.com/msg/1684333.aspx |
