Default Small Firewire Question

Hi All,

A couple of questions please.......

I just bought an Asus P5B to upgrade my system. Previously I had an
Asus A8N-SLI.

Now,m I'm not great at this stuff, but I'm not sure that was an
upgrade?? Maybe I was taken... Anyhow, I have a GeForce 8800.
Don't I need an SLI MB to work with that?

Also, I noticed that this new MB has no firewire connection on it.
So, I was debating on whether or not to buy a Firewire controller
card, OR, but a new MB (like the ASUS P5N-E SLI) and use the on-board
1394 connector.

Is there any advantage to the onboard controller over the controller
card???

Thanks for your feedback.
