I bought a new system a couple months ago. I am sending Word files to family
and friends. They are unable to open the attachments that I am sending. How
do I correct this problem? I have noted that the files are labled docx. Can
you help me resolve this issue?

You have Word 2007 and your family has an earlier version of Office. You
need to save your Word files in the earlier .doc format. This has
nothing to do with Vista or networking. If you don't know how to save in
the earlier format, Word's Help files will tell you.
