I am fairly computer literate, but not network literate. I got a laptop and
tried to network it with my desktop. Something came up about permissions and I made some choices. I believe that I changed the permission on every file. Too late, I read Microsoft's advice not to mess with the permissions. Now I need permission to open almost every document and some programs are working strangely. I have an administrator account. I have tried to fix it without success and may have made things worse. How do I reset everything to the way it was before I messed up the permissions? I have reset the computer using a restore point. But of course, restore does not effect the data and documents. Thank you for any guidance. Pastor John |
