I use Explorer in Classic view, with "simple folder view" disabled.
This works fine as long as the cursor is over the folder pane, but when the folder pane loses focus, all of the {+] and [-] boxes for expanding and collapsing the tree disappear, leaving gaps in the lines that show the tree structure. This really looks amateurish, and it's distracting to have the boxes appear and disappear as the cursor passes over the folder pane. Is there any way to make the boxes permanently visible? Am I missing some obvious option in the folder view settings? -- Ray (remove the Xs to reply) |

You might like it as well. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/81...lder-icon.html Thanks, that's a nice enhancement, even if it doesn't keep the [+] boxes from disappearing I was wondering last week why therewasn't a different icon for open folders, and now there is. A related question: is there an easy way to change the default folder icon in Explorer? I searched a bit on vistax64.com and in Google but didn't find anything. The standard one doesn't look much like a folder to me -- more like a side-by-side refrigerator. -- Ray (remove the Xs to reply) |

It has a 15 day fully functional trial period to do it in.
