Default why 2 vista choices when start up?

i just did an upgrade from basic to premium last week. it took forever but i
expected that. however, now when i start up (use a laptop) it prompts me to
chose between which operating system to boot from. windows vista premium or
vista premium.
EVERY TIME. I am getting so frustrated that I am about to junk it and join
the vista-haters. I'm not on board that yet, as i really liked the vista
basic, but....help???

It is showing you the old install and the new one. You should choose the new
one. However, to get it to always boot to the new install without that menu,
you can go to the Control Panel, System, Advanced System Settings, the
Advanced Tab, Click Settings under Startup & Recovery. Then you can make
sure the correct one is in the drop down box, then uncheck the Time to
display list of operating systems.

That will take care of the menu, so you don't have to bother with that
anymore!
