I had a problem today trying to do a search via file explorer against a
folder that had a comma in name. I got message saying 'The specific path does not exist'. After rebuilding indexes, renaming and recreating named folder I determined that the only problem was that the folder name had commas in it. If I renamed and took commas away I ws able to search folder again. Is this a known problem and is there a fix available? Grateful for input. |

Hi, Nick.
Did you remember to enclose the filename in quotation marks? "filename", or "file, name"? You probably will need to enclose the entire pathname in quotes, like: "C:\Users\Nick\Documents\this is the file, name" RC -- R. C. There is no opportunity to do this when I do search from file explorer by
cliking right mouse button over the folder name and selecting search. I now know a way around this but I'm still flagging what appears to be a problem that MS should fix. Wanted to know if others were aware of problem and if they know if MS know about it. Thanks "R. C. White" wrote: Hi, Nick. Did you remember to enclose the filename in quotation marks?
