Your router has Wireless Security turned on. Turn it off to test system then turn on security and set password. |

Since purchasing a new machine with Vista and letting it configure my network

you should use WPA2 or at least WPA for security on a wireless
network. log into the router and set this up. then setup the same passphrase of all the wireless computers. once this is done, you should see an icon near the clock "blinking" that the network is available. or you can right click the icon and select connect to a network. I have been having a similar problem, it keeps asking for a passphrase or
key, i have installed the router on lots of occasions to see if i have given it a passphrase or the router has given me one but the only thing it gives me is a hex key, tried putting this in for the key but it won't except. help!
