When shift + rightMouseClick is used to copy a path
from a file share on the network, like \\ROOT-OFFICE\C-WD320\src\info.txt the minus sign is removed from C-WD320 leaving the wrong pasted path \\ROOT-OFFICE\CWD320\src\info.txt A work-around is to rename the disk on each affected share. It would be better to have Microsoft fix the munging error in Windows Explorer. The questions: (1) Can anyone verify this error on their own system? You would need to have a disk name with a minus sign, or else create one. (2) Anyone have an idea how to post the error report directly to Microsoft? Regards, GB Gustafson |
