Default Fingerprint reader can't be found: 0xe7210005 error message

Suddenly, Vista can't find my fingerprint reader sensor. IBM just replaced
the palmrest and reader, as well as the system board--the reader worked after
that, then the sensor disappeared a week or so later. Anyone have a clue
here where it went or how i can get it back or reinstall it? (I don't want
to do a restore point)
Thx,
Jeff

Can you find it in device manager (IBM support should tell you it's device
ID - it's something like USB\VID_08FF&PID2580\5&B701C9D&0&2 in my case)

Miroslav: I found this for the TouchChip driver, under Hardware lds:
USB\VID_0483&PID_2016&REV_0001
USB\VID_0483&PID_2016

is this it? If so, what should i do?

Thx,
Jeff

Looks like you found it. No exclamation marks etc?

Not sure what's your exact NTB model but look at:
